Realize, this is a person who makes his living knocking a small white ball into a hole with a stick.
Lately the news has been saturated with stories about Tiger Woods being unfaithful to his possibly image-only wife. A guy who knocks a small white ball into a hole with a stick.
He has not found a cure for cancer. He has not developed a clean, cheap source of abundant energy. He has not put an end to war, racism, religious conflicts or other areas of contention. He has not discovered the Higgs boson. He has not developed a unified field theory. He has not ended hunger, poverty, the exploitation of child labor or other means of endangering the youngest among us. He has not conquered the challenge of global warming.
He knocks a small white ball into a hole with a stick.
Yet newspapers around the country as well as local and national newscasts spend an inordinate amount of time covering a domestic squabble between Tiger Woods and his wife. A squabble that has nothing to do with the way he makes his living, let alone any of the other areas mentioned above.
This is nuts.
Agree/disagree with his moral decisions, there is no reason to waste so much time/space reporting the the personal life of Tiger Woods.
